OSBI Holds Investigative Conference To Introduce New Techniques

Hundreds of police officers, detectives and more will be in Catoosa on Thursday this week to stay ahead of evolving crime trends. 

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said criminals are constantly changing their methods, and that this conference not only teaches techniques and strategies but also introduces new technologies. 

“In some aspects, it makes it easier to track suspects, follow leads, things like that,” OSBI Lt. Derek White said. “In some aspects, it makes it more difficult to investigate things, because criminals use the same technology to get away with crimes as well.”

The OSBI said agencies from Missouri and Kansas are also part of the conference.
