Description
A sweet and savory dish for a full meal, or appetizer!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (we usually use reduced sodium)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon jarred minced garlic)
- optional: 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Garnish: chopped green onion
Instructions
- Prep: In a small bowl whisk together the garlic, ginger, soy sauce and honey.
- Combine: Stir in the shrimp and allow this to sit in the refrigerator covered for 30 minutes
- Cook: Heat a skillet drizzled with olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook: Once the oil is smoking, stir in the shrimp. Shrimp on both sides until browned.
- Cook: Pour the remaining marinade over the top and continue to cook until the sauce thickens and becomes a little sticky.
- Serve: Serve over a bed of rice and garnish with green onions.
