Thousands of people from all over the world will flock to Boley, Oklahoma, for the historic annual rodeo taking place in the town.
Ahead of the nation's oldest African American community-based rodeo, the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch visited the town to speak with organizers about the event.
"We've been focusing on improving the arena, we extended the arena [and] updated our bleachers," Boley Rodeo organizer Karen Ekuban said. "We just put a lot of love into making this space better for everyone."
In addition to the 121st Annual Boley Rodeo, organizers are also preparing several other events for visitors.
"We're going to kick off at 9 a.m. with an amazing car show," organizer Ellengton Boyce said. "We're going to then kick off with our parade at 3 p.m., and then we will be having our outdoor concert [for the] first time ever here."
After the concert, doors open at 4 p.m. for entrance to the rodeo, which begins at 7 p.m.
"We want to remind people that this is the oldest, longest-running Black rodeo," organizer Jacqueline Floyd said. "We're saying welcome rodeo fans.... come on out and show your love for Boley, Oklahoma."
Ekuban also said despite being a historically Black event, doors are open for anyone who loves going to the rodeo.
