2024 Oklahoma City Heart And Stroke Walk Takes Place At Bicentennial Park

People gathered for the 2024 Oklahoma City Heart and Stroke Walk on Saturday.

The event is hosted by the American Heart Association to raise awareness for heart disease and strokes.

Participants had their choice of a one-mile or three-mile walk beginning and ending at Bicentennial Park.

"It's an opportunity for the community to come together to talk about the mission of the organization that is all about how we create a healthy community," said Mark Fried with the American Heart Association.

This year celebrates 100 years of the American Heart Association.

Several tents were set up at the event, including one where participants could learn CPR.

Next year's Heart Walk is scheduled for May 31, 2025.
