Edmond Author Shares New Book About Kindness On The Porch

An author from Edmond has released a new book that can transport readers to a new world and invite them to explore things from a new perspective.

The author, Rebecca Loomis, sat down with the News 9 team on the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to share how her newly released book can help inspire readers to show kindness.

"Touch of Kindness" details the story of a teen who is transported to a magical world and later discovers herself through themes such as love and kindness.

Rebecca Loomis shared why showing these emotions are crucial to not only the themes in the story, but to the real world as well.

"The overarching theme is kindness, and one of the reasons I wrote it was because I wanted to give the idea that kindness is more than just a hashtag. If every single person did one kind thing a day, we could change the world," Loomis said.
