Tulsa's Board of Adjustment approves a rezoning exception to allow the city to turn an old nursing home into a temporary housing location for homeless people near Mohawk Park.

News On 6 reported several neighbors who live nearby are worried about their safety and how the center could affect their property values.

The board approved the exception if the facility has 24/7 security and bans residents who are convicted sex offenders or violent felons.

The rezoning decision now goes to the City Council.
