Newalla Home Destroyed In Fire

A home in Newalla was destroyed Tuesday morning after a fire, authorities say.

A home caught fire Tuesday morning in Newalla, according to the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

OKCFD said firefighters were called to a residence near Southeast 44th Street and South Pottawatomie Road shortly after 3 a.m.

After arriving on the scene, firefighters said the home, nearby vehicles, and trees were engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said the home, as well as two vehicles, were destroyed.

News 9 spoke to a family living at the home, who said everyone was able to evacuate safely.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
