Cause Of Overnight Fire At NW Oklahoma City Apartment Complex Under Investigation

An apartment fire in NW Oklahoma City overnight is under investigation, firefighters say.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to the Quail Ridge Apartments near May and Memorial around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Firefighters said they saw smoke coming from the first and second-floor apartments. They were able to quickly put it out.

"One building consists of 16 units, the fire was contained to just one," said Chris Haley, Acting District Chief for OKCFD. "We have one other unit that had a little water runoff damage. We have Red Cross to assist with both of those."

They say no on was in the apartment at the time of the fire.
