Oklahoma City residents have until Jan. 15 to pinpoint areas of need on the city’s infrastructure map at okc.gov/go. City leaders are seeking input on potential projects for a general obligation (GO) bond election planned for fall 2025.
Since October, residents have submitted 3,393 ideas, ranging from street repaving and widening to traffic lights, sidewalks, drainage, and park improvements.
“The 2025 bond package will fund basic needs and critical infrastructure every community needs for stability, growth and safety,” City Manager Craig Freeman said. “Since 2017, when the last bond program was approved, we have been gathering input from residents in various ways to learn about neighborhood and community needs. While we can’t meet every need across OKC’s 621 miles with a single GO bond election, we ask residents to help us identify priorities.”
GO bonds are Oklahoma City’s primary funding source for major infrastructure projects, including streets, bridges, parks, public safety facilities, and sidewalks. Projects are selected based on ratings, planning studies, City Council priorities, and resident feedback.
The City will host a virtual town hall meeting on Jan. 8 from noon to 12:30 p.m, to join CLICK HERE.
Residents are encouraged to stop by the Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene at 4400 NW Expressway between 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to provide input in person.
