Grady County Deputies arrested a man with six felony warrants, following an hours-long standoff Sunday near County Street 1410.

The Grady County Sheriff's Office responded to the 2100 block of County Street 1410 after receiving information that William Buenrostro was at a residence in the area.

Deputies say Buenrostro had been wanted since Dec. 16, 2024, after fleeing from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle during an incident that ended in a shooting near the same location.

After confirming Buenrostro’s presence with family members, deputies requested backup from Ninnekah Police, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol due to Buenrostro’s history of violence toward law enforcement.

The standoff lasted several hours before Buenrostro was taken into custody. He was booked into jail on six felony warrants.
