The Porch Explores New Retail And Residential Development In Oklahoma City

Developers behind OAK OKC, a new residential, retail, and entertainment development located in northwest Oklahoma City, are sharing more about what to expect from the recently finished project.

Opening in October of 2024, OAK OKC is the home of several businesses and venues, as well as multiple residents living in the residential space near North Pennsylvania Avenue and Northwest Expressway.

The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch traveled out to OAK OKC to learn more about the development and what it means for Oklahomans.

"Imagine if when you walked out of your front door this morning, you were at the place that you wanted to be," OAK OKC Director of Design and Construction Chris George said. "That's what we're hoping that OAK becomes."

George said there are over 300 residential units in the mixed-use space, as well as a hotel for visitors from out of town.

In addition to fulfilling residential and commercial needs, George said OAK also actively works to bring entertainment options to the area.

"Programming at the OAK started in October, and we are just capitalizing on the culture, the community, and the connection," Goerge said. "We had a live screening of movies, and it's just the beginning."
