Search Resumes For 8-Year-Old Girl Swept Away In Floodwaters During Christmas Eve Crash

The search for 8-year-old Clara Robinson continues in Texas following the fatal Christmas Eve crash, authorities said Friday.

Clara's dad Will Robinson did not survive the crash after trying to save his daughter from the floodwaters.

Multiple agencies joined in the search for Clara, but efforts were postponed on Friday due to the winter weather.

Sherman Police said they will resume the search on Saturday.

"Everyone has rallied together to love and support both the Robinson family and all the first responders who have been involved in this search," Sherman Police shared. "Your encouragement and engagement these past two and half weeks is appreciated and has served as a motivator for all of us."

Police said updates will be shared if anything noteworthy is recovered during search efforts.
