Wednesday, Jan. 29, marks the first day of the lunisolar calendar, also known as the Lunar New Year.

Several Oklahoma City metro communities will celebrate the holiday, which heralds in the Year of the Snake.

Here is a list of where you can join in on the festivities:

Thursday, Jan. 30:

The Oklahoma City women and nonbinary technologists group SheCodesOKC will host a Lunar New Year social event at Sushi Bar. Click here to request to join.

Saturday, Feb. 1:

The Mycelium Gallery hosts Lunar New Year Chi Kung, presented by Dojo of the Sun and Moon. The event will focus on exercise and meditation. Here is where you can buy tickets.
