¡Viva Sabor! to be held by Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to showcase Latin culture in OKC

The Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is hosting ¡Viva Sabor!, a signature event to celebrate Latin cultures in the Oklahoma City metro area. The event will feature samples of the best Latino and Hispanic food, dancing lessons, live entertainment, as well as Latino art displays to raise funds for Chamber programs.

The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages porch was joined today by Steffi Silva, Chief Operating Officer for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to discuss the upcoming event.

Q: What is ¡Viva Sabor!?

A: Viva Sabor is a signature event of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Through ¡Viva Sabor!, we are capturing and embracing the unique cultures of the different Latin countries that are here in the Oklahoma City metro area.

Q: Where will it be held?

A: We're celebrating it this time at the Cantera South, located on 59th and Santa Fe on March 28th at 6 p.m. It's going to be a lot of fun. We're going to have food tasting as well as some dancing. And no worries, if you don't feel comfortable dancing, we're going to bring some dance instructors.

Q: What kind of food will be at the event?

A: So you can think a little bit about obviously Mexican food, we're gonna have it there, some tacos, but also from other Latin countries. So expect some other dishes from Latin, like the center of, you know, the Americas, like we're gonna have other types of dishes that people can enjoy that day.
