An Osage County family is still in shock after a wildfire destroyed their home of 30 years. The elderly couple who lived in the house were able to escape, but the fire destroyed several buildings on their property.

The family says the flames destroyed the property in what seemed like the blink of an eye. The couple is still getting themselves together, and the community is coming together to help.

"This is where we made all our memories," said Tandra Crawford, the daughter-in-law of homeowners Jim and Pam Crawford.

Tandra says the couple and their pets made it out safely. She says the couple is still processing the loss of everything.

"I think it’s still something that you’ve got to figure out before you actually grieve," Tandra said.

She says Pam is fighting cancer and had just finished a treatment before the wildfire destroyed their property. They are finding some peace in the gratitude of people reaching out with good thoughts and donations.

"They’re two very, very strong people, and there are so many people that love them. Prayers are all welcomed tremendously," said Tandra.

The family hasn’t been able to sift through much but do plan to save whatever they can. Tandra says it’s too soon to know if the couple will rebuild.

Clothing donations for Jim and Pam can be dropped off at 14299 North Cincinnati Avenue in Skiatook. Amazon donations can be sent to the Buckin' Flamingo in Pawhuska, located at 125 East Main Street.

Financial donations for the family can be sent through Venmo to @Alicia-Sanchez-142.
